CARCO’s Fayetteville, NC staff is supporting a terrific charity by participating in a 5k Run/Walk at 10:00 AM on Saturday, 9 November. All proceeds will go to 4 Wheel 2 Heal (http://www.4w2h.org/), the 501(c)3 that assisted CARCO in the purchase of a TrackChair for wounded soldier SGT Jonathan Rivernbark.
4 Wheel2 Heal is dedicated to taking Wounded Veterans, from all branches of service, to off-roading events. These events involve four wheeling, rock crawling, mud bogging, shooting and camping. The organization provides this service to veterans through the help of donations and merchandise sales. Money raised helps pay for food, registration fees, and lodging.
The outing will take place on the Cape Fear River Trail in Fayetteville and will begin at the Jordan Soccer Complex near Methodist University. We will be joined by SGT and Mrs. Jonathan Rivenbark, the recipient of the company purchased TrackChair, as well as members of the 82nd Airborne Division.
Everyone is welcome to participate and or just come by to cheer the runners on! This is also an excellent opportunity to thank SGT Rivenbark for his service and sacrifice.
If you cannot attend, you can still donate to this excellent organization by visiting http://www.4w2h.org/. There is no minimum to donate, but we ask that you please give as generously as you can.
If you plan on attending or participating in the run, here’s the map and information regarding the trail
Good luck to all the runners!
