CARCO Takes Client Relationships a “Step Beyond”!

By Doreen Koronios

I know we promised to provide information on efficient, time saving, and cost effective hiring applications and processes.  However, I have decided to postpone that blog because a recent issue with a trusted vendor got me to thinking about the importance of superior customer service. The process of choosing a vendor and partner is usually a long one, consisting of an RFP process, presentations, and face-to-face meetings.  Making the right choice is so important because the wrong decision can be costly to a company and cause a great deal of interruption to daily business processes.

At CARCO, we take our responsibility as a trusted vendor and partner very seriously.  We are, in fact, a client driven company, and our corporate culture is based on this fact – from the Chairman right down the corporate chain!  We know that clients have more options than ever. That is why we strive for superior, rather than good, client relationships. We start with getting to know our clients and their needs and then focus on delivering what is of value to them. Our focus is to do everything possible to make our clients’ jobs easier!

As a matter of fact, we are so passionate about relationships that we recently implemented a company-wide Step Beyond Program to continually enhance relationships for our clients, co-workers, and our company. The Step Beyond Program is a pledge to CARCO’s clients to provide our Team with the training and support they need to provide the highest integrity and reliability of professional services.  And it is a pledge to CARCO’s employees to foster a work environment where diversity is valued, quality of life is enhanced, and individual aspirations are fulfilled.

Our Value Proposition to our clients is clear:  We provide 30+ years of client focused team management.  Our attention to detail (some say it is fanatical) and our ethical standards are so strong that we have never had a single complaint to the FTC in the 30+ years of processing background investigations! We pledge to our clients and employees to continually Step Beyond the norm when it comes to fostering relationships. Maybe that is why we have many clients who have partnered with us for 25+ years and many employees who have been with the company for 10+ years.

So the next time you are looking for a trusted vendor, tell them it’s the CARCO way or the highway!

Starting Out on a Positive Note

By Doreen Koronios

Happy New Year to our clients and friends and welcome to our brand new CARCO Blog! We have information to share and we are interested in hearing what you have to say also. Please let us know what issues are of concern to you in your hiring and risk mitigation processes. We are happy to share whatever information we have with you.

I am happy to say that it appears we are starting the New Year off on a positive note.  According to CareerBuilders’ recent annual forecast for 2010, 20 percent of employers are planning to increase their number of full-time, permanent employees and only 9 percent are expecting to cut back on personnel.

The survey has good news for the out of work who were laid off from their jobs. Among the companies who had lay-offs in 2009, 32 percent say they plan to bring back workers. Three-in-ten expect to either do so now or plan to do so in the first six months of 2010.

And there is good news for those who are of retirement age but are not yet ready to turn in their three-piece suits for bathing suits! Twenty-seven percent of respondents said they plan to retain their workers who are approaching retirement. Another 16 percent said they are likely to rehire retirees from other companies in 2010. Additionally, 10 percent are likely to provide incentives for workers at or approaching retirement age to stay on with the company longer.

With all this new hiring, perhaps it is time to re-assess your hiring process.  Tune in next week for information on how CARCO can help you start off the New Year with efficient, time saving, and cost effective hiring applications and processes!  In the meantime, we, at CARCO, want to wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year!
